Name: Jiayue He

Position: Research associate (co-supervised by Prof. George W. Huber)

Contact: Jiayue.he@wisc.edu

Short Bio:

Jiayue He was born in Nanchang, China. He received his bachelor’s degree from Nankai University in June 2008. In February 2010, he earned the degree of master from National University of Singapore and Technical University of Munich. In March of the same year, he joined the research group of Prof. Johannes A. Lercher and started his Ph.D study at the Chair of Technical Chemistry II at Technical University of Munich. His research focuses on the selective cleavage of C-O bonds and hydrodeoxygenation of lignin fragment molecules. His past research experiences led him to continue his study in the fields of catalysis and biomass conversion at the University of Wisconsin–Madison under the supervision of Prof. James A. Dumesic and Prof. George W. Huber. At UW–Madison, he continues the research focused on developing new strategies to convert lignocellulosic biomass to chemicals and fuels.
